This is a hands-on session exploring how to create, capture, and share digital resources to enhance student learning. Embracing UDL principles, participants will use phones, document cameras, and iPads to capture resources and learn how to share them using GAFE and Canvas. Please bring your digital devices.

Excel 2008 (Mac): Managing Your Excel Database

In this workshop, you will learn how to effectively organize and analyze table data in Excel 2008/2011 (Mac). You will learn how to sort data in ascending and descending order by a single criterion and many criteria. You will learn how to filter data using the AutoFilter. You will also learn how to split data, use the Subtotaling feature, use Freeze Panes, hide columns and rows, and apply AutoFormatting.  Must be comfortable using Mac OS X and/or have some basic Excel for Mac experience.

Participants learn how to use common school supplies to make appropriate accommodations and modifications if a need arises during instruction. The Instructional Toolbox should be used to support instruction before, during, and after creating a lesson for classroom implementation of College and Readiness Standards in Common Core for students in Kindergarten-12th grade. The participants will have an opportunity to create some on-the-spot instructional accommodations/modifications to take with them.
